To barefoot or not to barefoot...

I don't consider myself as someone who has what could be defined as a 'foot fetish' as such. However, I can't deny, whenever I'm checking out a website's content, one of the first things I will look for is whether the action is barefoot or booted. And that will, on occassion, affect whether I will purchase that particular content. It's not the absolute deciding factor, by any means, but it certainly does have some influence on my decision.

So why is this? Surely a great match is a great match? I think, for me, it's the context of the footwear, or lack of it, that can make the difference. For example, boots in a Pro-Wrestling bout are an expectation. I enjoy the matches of Shimmer, Chickfight, and even sometimes the WWE, without giving the presence of footwear on the wrestlers a second thought. Indeed, it is because of that expectation that makes the occassional presence of a barefoot pro-wrestler all the more exciting, such as Joyce Grable, Vickie Williams and Madusa. It's that very 'old-skool' vibe that I myself have tried to recreate in a number of recent customs from Slamminladies. (Check out Slampegs 448 and 391).

Outside of the ring though, and that's where I personally find boots/footwear... wrong. Boots in an apartment setting, or in a mat-room just seem out of place to me, even moreso when on a wrestler in a bikini. Asking me to put my finger on exactly why though, is tough. Perhaps it is because I favour holds like scissors, which do focus on the legs and, to some degree, the feet. Perhaps it's because it somehow takes some of the 'sexy' out of a match for me cos boots are, at some level, still covering up a part of that particular woman.

And it's not just related to wrestling. I'm a big fan of the work done by Footmode, who's sites do very much straddle the interests of both female fighting and foot fetish. And whilst a group of photos that were simply of feet wouldn't do much for me, the barefoot face kicks in so many of Footmode's awesome pictures are probably my favourite fighting pictures in my entire collection. And yet, there is a another site, over at Kick Ass Kandy where the focus is 99% on kicking in boots, mainly high heels and the like and I've yet to purchase any of their content yet. Admittedly, that is mainly as it currently all mixed content (and well worth checking out, if that is something you do enjoy), but even if they were producing f/f content, the presence of those boots/shoes/heels would still be a barrier for me.

In a martial arts style fight, I find the presence of any footwear takes the more 'personal' aspect out of a fight. A barefoot face-kick is exactly that, a part of one woman's body dominating her opponent. If said woman is wearing shoes, boots, heels, whatever, then it's not really her that's dishing out that kick. To some degree, she might as well be hitting her opponent over the head with a stick.

So what's your view? Barefoot or boots? Why? Or does it not bother you at all?

because it gives the wrestlers an extry sexy dimension in my opinion
they are looking sexy in it specially in ring matches
in apartment matches I pefer canvas tennis shoes, black boots or barefeet

I love sexy fighting female bare feet! I have a fighting and foot fetish. I think womens polished pedicured feet are so sexy, so feminine. I love the idea of a woman using her feet in fights, kicking to the face and body. That something so pretty can cause hurt and harm turns me on! I love when you see the toes wiggle while they apply a scissor hold or foot choke. I love when a woman uses her feet to step on a face or chest, particularly a victory pose. More often than not, barefeet IS a dealbreaker for me. They MUST be barefoot. This is why I could never be a member of KnockoutGirlz because they`re all for boots pretty much. I love footfighters, kickassclub, and even feetofthemonth from footmode. They are the best out there for photosets IMO. I don`t even have a foot fetish! None of the solo feet teasing or when the girls suck each other`s feet do anything for me. However, the fighting, smothers, and victory posing is the GREATEST.

I definitely prefer barefoot, for a lot of the reasons described by others in this thread. I especially prefer barefoot when it's a bikini match or some kind of scantily clad tussle. It just looks odd to me to have these string bikinis on with huge boots. Barefoot is much more erotic and feminine, yet potentially dangerous!

That's interesting, as I've always preferred the contrast the other way around, but for the same reason. Having the barefoot babe defeating a booted/hose wearing wrestler suggests that the booted wrestler assumed she would win, as she is the more 'authentic' wrestler. But then the sexier, barefooted wrestler dominates her completely. For me, it's that contrast that makes such a victory especially hot!
